Club News

The Junior League of London is pleased to announce the Autumn New Member Training Program. The Junior League has been active in London since 1978, training volunteers, developing the potential of women and improving communities.

To become a new member of the Junior League, training courses are offered twice a year starting in September and January.

The course lasts approximately four months, with meetings held in the evenings or on Saturdays. If you would like more information please contact the Junior League office on

The Chilterns American Women’s Club (CAWC) is a group of more than 350 women that was formed to help newcomers adjust more easily and enjoy their stay as expatriates in Great Britain. Our primary objective is to welcome and assist newcomers and their families to the area of England known as the Chilterns. We promote friendship and co-operation among members, and give financial support to several philanthropic projects. Our club is a member of the Federation of American Women's Clubs Overseas (FAWCO), a network of over 17,000 expatriate women around the world. CAWC meets monthly on (generally) the second Thursday of each month, September to June. At these general meetings, we enjoy speakers or special presentations/demonstrations, socialize with other women, share our latest experiences, sign up for various activities (we offer more than 30 activities from Day Hikes to Tennis, or Art Lovers to Quilting), and get to know one another. Full membership is available to North American women, and Associate Membership is offered to women/men with North American ties.

The Hampstead Women's Club is a multinational non-profit social organization for women living in the London area.  We have over 350 members who live in North West London.  The Club provides an abundance of wonderful activities to help members meet people and experience London .  Besides offering programmes for its members, the HWC reaches out the local community in a variety of ways.  Our biggest event that is open to the public is our Nearly New Sale where high quality, new and gently used children's clothing (newborn to age 10), toys, books, videos, DVDs, and more are sold at tremendous savings.  All unsold items will go to Doorstep Homeless Families Project, a day centre for homeless families in North Camden. 

Doorstep will also receive a portion of the profits from the sale.
